Deleting your Cashfield account

Version 1.4 · Effective September 28, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Cashfield account and everything Ovesyan Tech Inc. holds about you. You can do it yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. No request to us is needed and there is no waiting period.

Delete it yourself, in the app

Open Cashfield and go to Profile → Privacy & data → Your data, then choose Delete your account. Without a subscription, Cashfield opens on its subscription screen instead, and Delete your account is at the bottom of it. Either way, Cashfield shows what will be removed and asks you to confirm, because this cannot be undone.

You will be asked to sign in again, with the same Apple or Google account, every time. That is deliberate: an unlocked phone left on a table should not be a deletion waiting to happen.

If you no longer have the app installed

Write to us at info@ovesyantechinc.com from the email address on your account and ask for your account to be deleted. We will confirm who you are and then delete it for you, and we will write back when it is done.

Reinstalling Cashfield and signing in with the same Apple or Google account also works, and is faster — the deletion is in the app.

What is deleted

Every institution you connected is disconnected first and its access credential revoked at the provider, so nothing can be read from your bank afterwards. Then your sign-in is removed, and then your records are permanently deleted.

That means your transactions — both the ones imported from your bank and the ones you entered yourself — together with their categories, your corrections, the links between them, duplicate proposals, your accounts and institutions, your recurring payments, your insights, your Ask conversations, your records of AI use, your notification settings and the record of notifications sent, your subscription record, your profile details and photograph, your preferences, and your account record itself.

If any step fails, nothing further is deleted and the app tells you plainly that your account still exists. A deletion that half happened is worse than one that did not start.

What deleting your account does not do

It does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are held by Apple and Google rather than by us, and only you can cancel them, in your Apple or Google account settings. If you do not, they will go on charging you.

Our database provider backs the database up once every 24 hours and keeps each backup for 7 days, so a deleted record can remain inside an expiring backup for up to 7 days afterwards. We say so rather than claim deletion is instantaneous everywhere, because backups are the one place it is not.

If you had turned on Share usage analytics and anything about you ever reached PostHog, deleting your account tells PostHog the account is deleted, and the events themselves are removed by hand rather than automatically. They contain no financial content and nothing that identifies you outside our own database.

Afterwards

Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account creates a new, empty Cashfield account. Nothing is restored, and nothing from the old one is carried across.

We keep one thing: a one-way fingerprint of your sign-in identifier, so that a sign-in from before the deletion cannot reopen the account. It cannot be turned back into your identifier. It is kept for at least 30 days, and removed the next time any Cashfield account is deleted after that.

If you would like a copy of your data before you delete it, you can export one at any time from Profile → Privacy & data → Your data, or, without a subscription, from the subscription screen. Cashfield keeps no copy of that export. Any questions, write to info@ovesyantechinc.com.
