Cashfield

Terms of Service

Version 1.7 · Effective September 28, 2026

These terms cover your use of Cashfield, operated by Ovesyan Tech Inc. By using Cashfield you agree to them.

They are deliberately short. Cashfield is a personal finance application, not a bank, and these terms try to say only what genuinely needs saying.

What Cashfield is

Cashfield connects to your bank and credit card accounts, imports your transactions, categorises them, detects recurring payments, and shows you spending analysis and written observations about your money.

It is a tool for understanding your own finances. It does not hold money, move money, make payments, or act on your accounts in any way. Cashfield has read-only access to the accounts you connect.

Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a contract where you live. You must be using Cashfield for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You need an Apple or Google account to sign in. Cashfield has no password of its own.

Connecting your accounts

Financial institutions are connected through Plaid. You authenticate to your bank inside Plaid, and your use of it is governed by Plaid's own terms and privacy policy.

Cashfield never receives your bank username or password. What it receives is permission to read the account information described in the Privacy Policy.

You may disconnect any institution at any time. Doing so revokes Cashfield's access immediately.

You are responsible for connecting only accounts you are entitled to access.

Your subscription

Using Cashfield needs a Cashfield Personal subscription or its free trial. Its price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and you pay Apple or Google, not us.

A new subscriber can start with a free trial of 7 days. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription and you are charged when it ends. The subscription then renews every month, and you are charged for each month, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current month ends.

You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their own policies.

The Personal plan and its free trial include a limited number of connected institutions at a time, and a limited number of questions in Ask, shown in the app. We may change the price or the limits for future periods; a price change reaches you through Apple or Google, who ask for your consent where the law or their rules require it.

When a free trial or subscription ends without renewing, and once any grace period Apple or Google allows for a failed payment has passed, every connected institution is disconnected and the accounts and transactions imported from it are permanently deleted, as the Privacy Policy describes. Your Cashfield account and the entries you added yourself remain until you delete them, or until the account is deleted for lack of use as described below. Until you subscribe again, Cashfield shows only its subscription screen, from which you can still export your data and delete your account.

Deleting your Cashfield account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it with Apple or Google.

Cashfield is informational, and is not advice

Everything Cashfield shows you — categories, spending totals, comparisons, detected subscriptions, insights, and answers in Ask — is informational.

It is not financial advice, not investment advice, not tax advice, not accounting advice and not legal advice. Cashfield does not know your circumstances and is not qualified to advise you on them. Decisions about your money are yours, and you should consult a qualified professional where that matters.

Accuracy of the information shown

Cashfield presents information supplied by your financial institutions through Plaid. That information can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and a pending transaction can change after it settles.

Categorisation, transfer matching and recurring detection are automatic and will sometimes be wrong. You can correct any of them, and your corrections take precedence.

Your bank or card statement is the authoritative record of your accounts, not Cashfield.

Entries you add yourself

You can add transactions manually. Those entries are yours: you enter them, you can edit them, and you can remove them.

Cashfield counts them in your totals exactly as it counts imported ones, so their accuracy is your responsibility. Where a manual entry appears to duplicate an imported transaction, Cashfield may propose that it is a duplicate — it never merges or removes anything on its own.

Your responsibilities

Keep your Apple or Google account secure, since it is what protects your Cashfield account. Keep your device secure, since a signed-in device reaches your financial information.

Use Cashfield only for your own accounts and your own purposes, and follow the law where you are.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Your data, and ending your account

Your financial data is yours. You can export a full copy at any time, and you can delete your account and its data permanently at any time. Both are in the app — under Profile, or, without a subscription, on the subscription screen Cashfield opens on — and neither requires you to contact us.

Deleting your account disconnects every institution, removes your sign-in and permanently deletes your records. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google.

We may suspend or end an account that is being used in breach of these terms, or where we are required to. Where it is possible to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

We delete an account that has not been used for 24 months while no subscription is running, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Availability

Cashfield is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a service level commitment.

It depends on services we do not control — your bank, Plaid, and our hosting providers — and any of those can be unavailable. Features may change, and some may be withdrawn.

Our intellectual property

Cashfield, its name, its interface and its software belong to Ovesyan Tech Inc. These terms give you permission to use the application; they do not transfer any ownership in it.

Your financial data remains yours. Nothing here gives us ownership of it.

Disclaimers and liability

Cashfield is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law where you live permits that.

We are not liable for financial decisions you make using information shown in Cashfield, nor for information that reaches Cashfield from your institution incorrectly or late.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited. Where that is the case, those exclusions and limits do not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will make the new version available in the app before it takes effect, and update the effective date above.
