Ask
Ask about your own money
Ask from wherever you are in the app, and get an answer worked out from your own transactions, in English, French or Spanish.
Questions it answers
Ask is made for the questions your own records can answer, like these.
“Why is my spending lower this month?”
“What has my phone bill cost this year?”
“Which shop took the most in March?”
“How much did I spend on groceries last month?”
How an answer is made
Figures from Cashfield
Every figure is calculated by Cashfield from your transactions. The AI is given those figures and only writes the sentence around them.
Nothing sent without your OK
Nothing goes to the AI provider, OpenAI, until you allow it, and you can change your mind in Profile.
Only your own records
Ask won’t guess at prices, markets or anything else it can’t see. A question about the wider world gets a plain answer saying so.
Where to find it
Beside what you’re reading
On Spending, a category, a shop, a transaction or a subscription, Ask asks about exactly that.
In your own words
Type a question into the search on Transactions, or follow up on any answer.
Up to 190 a month
The Personal plan includes up to 190 questions a month. A question Cashfield can’t answer doesn’t count.
Private when you need it
Hide amounts hides Ask’s answers as well as every figure on screen.
Questions about Ask
More answers in the FAQ.
How does Ask use AI?
Nothing is sent to the AI provider, OpenAI, until you allow it. Cashfield calculates every figure itself from your transactions; the AI only writes the sentence around them, and it never sees your bank login.
Can I ask a question in my own words?
Yes. Type a question into the search on Transactions, or follow up on any answer. Ask answers only about your own money, from your own records.
Does Cashfield sell my data or show ads?
No. There are no ads, your data is never sold, and usage analytics stay off unless you turn them on.
