Transactions

Every transaction, sorted and searchable

Every account at every bank you connect, in one list grouped by day, each transaction with its category, its account and whether it has settled.

Search, filter, and see the total

Search by name, category or amount. Filter by type, status, date, amount, account or category, and the total of what matches is added up for you.

Each transaction opens to say how Cashfield counts it: as spending, as income, or as money moving between your own accounts.

Put it right once

Fix a category once

Choose the right category and Cashfield can file every charge at that shop the same way from then on, or change just that one.

Leave a charge out

Leave this out of my spending: a work trip you were paid back for leaves your spending and still counts in your cash flow, because the money still left.

Add cash by hand

Add transaction records money out, money in, a refund or a transfer, and it counts like any other transaction.

Duplicates, pointed out

When the same charge seems to appear twice, Cashfield points it out and lets you decide. Nothing is merged on its own.

Questions about transactions

More answers in the FAQ.

Does paying my credit card count as spending?

No. The purchases on the card were counted when you made them, so paying the card off is money moving between your own accounts, not new spending. Cashfield finds those payments from both ends and counts them once.

Can I add cash or other transactions?

Yes. Add money out, money in, a refund or a transfer by hand, and it counts like any other transaction.

What if a category is wrong?

Choose the right one on the transaction. Cashfield can file every charge at that shop the same way from then on, or change just that one.

How far back does my history go?

When you connect a bank, Cashfield asks it for up to two years of transactions. How much comes through is up to your bank, and some send it straight away while others take a while.
